The Afar people reside in the Southern Red Sea region of Eritrea. They are mainly livestock herders, primarily raising camels but also tending goats, sheep, and cattle. Men traditionally carry the jile, a famous curved knife. This portrait displays the natural beauty of the environment, traditional dressing styles of young Afar boys and girls.
